Wind Wolves Preserve has displays of monolopia, red maids, blue dicks, phacelia, and fiddle necks. There are also small patches of poppies, bush lupine and blazing star. With the warm weather the displays should only get better. Currently the blooms are along the Wildflower Loop hiking trail and inside the mouth of San Emigdio Canyon, within a few miles of the El Camino Viejo trailhead.

Wind Wolves Preserve is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitation is free of charge. Nature Alley is also reporting poppies in the mouth of the canyon off of Highway 178 and sightings of bitterbrush along the upper Kern River.
